Funny Valentine

It's been almost six months that Randal and I have been married and I have to say, I love it.  Life is so much fun with him.

We needed another adventure in January and it happily coincided with a workplace wellness conference in Orlando, Florida.  Perfect!  Unfortunately, it was unseasonably cold and rained nearly every day that we were there and I missed most of the conference due to a nasty stomach bug, but by the end of the week, we were happily toodling about Florida.

We visited Randal's Grandpa Jack in Panama City and saw their beautiful house on the water, eight dogs, and two cats.  He is a picture of wellness, having had 4 heart surgeries about 15 years ago, before switching to a mostly vegetarian diet.  He is 77 and still works, as does his wife, who is 70.  They're pretty remarkable people and it was great to meet them.

On our last day, we spent a perfect day in Epcot Center from 9am to 9:45pm...  riding nearly all of the rides, visiting the "World," and enjoying delicious food, and people watching.  It was a perfect place for us to go: great food, good science.

Back in Klamath Falls, we closed on a two-story building downtown in an excellent location.  It needs a lot of work, but it could become something amazing. For now, it is a great place for creative outlets.  For Valentine's Day, we hosted a painting party for anyone who felt inspired to throw something on the wall.  We were so pleased with how it turned out.

Although you can't tell yet, this is the first step in what would be a beautiful mural painted by Andrea and I.

We are lucky enough to have Heather and Andrea here for the weekend to add their artistic flair.

In other exciting news, OIT was selected as one of the 20 teams in the world to compete in the Solar Decathlon.  A huge accomplishment that wouldn't have happened without Randal's help and guidance.  He'll be busy working on a house for the competition for the next year and a half, I'm sure!  I'm awfully proud!

At the Merrill Crab Feed last weekend.  All you can eat crab!  A real Klamath County must-see!
