Working women

It’s a busy week ahead, but I felt good today. I’m fading as 8pm rolls around, but all is well.  This was the remaining crew at 6:30pm tonight after a day at work. Jeanette (our therapist), Jen (our dietitian), and Stephanie Scott (our admin assistant). (Not featured: Glenn (our MD) and Tara (our admin assistant and fitness trainer).)  I do feel fortunate to share the work with this team.  And even more fortunate that my husband has dinner ready for me when I get home close to 7pm.

Link River

It was a nice end to a slow weekend. Randal has a cold, so we ended up staying in all weekend, but I did close it out with a beautiful hike this evening.  This was one of the first hikes that Stephanie and I did when we arrived and we did it together a few times. I thought of her tonight on this 12th of the month. I can’t believe it’s been 10 months since she died. She is still so vibrant and close in Randal and my hearts and minds.  She would have enjoyed the dogs tonight too. They looked awfully regal in the fading light. Or as regal as two silly mutts can.

A semi-sunny day

We woke up to only a partly cloudy day today as opposed to the cold, intermittent rain that we have enjoyed this week. So, I had to get out and enjoy the weather. And hike the dogs since they were bonkers. Milo was game for a “backpack hike” too, so we trekked up on the hill.  It’s a beautiful world today.  P.S. Happy 11/11!  We are actually going to an 11:11 11/11 party tonight!

The cutest

I don’t want all of my 30-day challenge posts to be about Milo, because while I love him, there are lots of parts in my life that I also love and experience (although no one wants to see a photo of my desk).   However, when someone is as cute as this, it’s hard not to make every photo a Milo photo. So, here’s a little Friday morning cute.

Marriage

To My Dear and Loving Husband By: Anne Bradstreet If ever two were one, then surely we.  If ever man were loved by wife, then thee;  If ever wife was happy in a man,  Compare with me ye women if you can.  I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,  Or all the riches that the East doth hold.  My love is such that rivers cannot quench,  Nor ought but love from thee give recompense.  Thy love is such I can no way repay;  The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray.  Then while we live, in love let's so persever,  That when we live no more we may live ever.

Missed perfection.

I missed yesterday and I hate not being perfect. But, c’est la vie and I’ll try to double up today.  Here was our little guy upon waking up this morning, patiently waiting for a new diaper and “keen cothes.”

Doc Hudson car

Milo adopted/stole Doc Hudson car from Alicia’s house when we were home a few weeks ago. It has become his favorite toy (and the one red glove he insists on wearing).  I don’t often get to see him sleeping, but he did look awfully cute snuggled up with Doc Hudson this morning. Thanks Alicia!
